She has also worked with a mid-sized company in a general management role and is currently employed with them in an advisory role. Ankita has been instrumental in converting a loss travel business into something highly profitable acquiring over 150 corporate accounts.

Ankita was detected PCOS and Type 2 Diabetes a few years ago which affected her fertility. This was when her journey with healthy eating began. She is mom to three-year-old twins and takes pride in making healthy food choices for them from day 1. Her passion for healthy eating and baking has continued to grow over time, and has led to the birth of her venture “Mamma’s Kitchen” – which focuses on creating heathy treats for kids and moms alike. This avatar enables her to share the joy of wholesome goodies made with choicest ingredients, the most important being love. Ankita finds this role tremendously fulfilling.

Being a mompreneur, Ankita has realised that it is extremely tough to manage a venture alongside the responsibilities of kids and family. She found herself juggling between work and children and always falling short of time. Ankita soon realised that almost every other mompreneur was facing similar challenges. This is when she got the idea of creating a community for mompreneurs, to support and promote each other.

Ankita has always been a strong supporter of community building and leadership. Over the years she has taken the initiative to found the following communities:

- 3G (900+ participants): A community to provide support to expatriate women who are new in Delhi. The aim of the community is to assist, support, help and make comfortable women who move to India from overseas. https://lbb.in/delhi/womens-expat-group-eats-meets-greets-together/

- South Delhi Playdate (250+ members) The primary focus of this community is to schedule playdates, facilitating the social development and interactive skills among young children.  This community also provides support to members for ongoing challenges and zillion of queries regarding motherhood. https://www.momspresso.com/parenting/the-referee-mom/article/the-south-delhi-playdates-group

Ankita uses her considerable organizational skills to ensure that these communities provide a support structure to a wide network of people.

Deepti Mittal

Early Years Education

Deepti has over 20 years of experience in software development, front-end web development services, CMS systems customization, custom web applications for business automation and e-commerce platforms.

Deepti and her husband both are technology freaks and have been working in this field since 2003.

In the year 2009-2010, they both worked in big IT companies serving clients mainly in EU. They always felt that the big IT companies carry an excess baggage of their internal processes and compliance to such a large extent that it becomes a hurdle to serve the customers in the best possible manner. While it was important to have processes and compliances, it was always most important to keep a mindset of “Client Focussed Delivery” that the big companies were ignoring.

They both had worked face to face with customers in UK for several years. While living and working in UK, they got much better insight into the several pain points of customers. So, they set out with an aim to serve clients in IT space with exclusive focus on high quality delivery.

To begin with, they tried several small domestic and international projects but those mostly didn't sustain. These were small contracts with not much scope for further expansion. After trying for almost 3 years and through some luck, they got an enquiry from a client who was very particular about quality and needed a specific offshore setup with ability to quickly ramp up staffing when needed. After a trial of a few small projects, the client signed a contract of significant size. This contract brought credibility and much needed funding for their business.

What started in a room in their home with 2 employees, has currently expanded to a 12000 sqft space with a staff of almost 150. They named their business The Web Plant and it took off beyond their expectations.

Setting up a business from scratch and without any external funding always involves challenges and this was no different. From hiring the right personnel to getting suitable office space to procuring furniture to sourcing the right hardware, Deepti and her husband met these challenges head on, determined to succeed.

Currently they have customers mainly in East Coast USA and serve a relatively small number of customers with a quality that is considered exceptional by industry standards.

As a business, their core values are listed in the following order or priority:

  1. 5 star quality delivery to customer with absolute zero defect density (most companies aim for a certain number of minimum defects in their delivery but at The Web Plant, the target defect figure is ZERO
  2. Operating at extremely high efficiency with nearly minimal operational redundancies
  3. Hiring and retaining the best possible talent
  4. Being conscious of our carbon footprint and environmental impact

Their business primary focusses on front-end web development services, CMS systems customization, custom web applications for business automation, e-commerce platforms and payment gateway integrations.

Deepti has her hands full with her three-year-old daughter Ruhi and her work. Both involve a lot of painstaking care and time. Whenever possible, Deepti loves to paint, travel and explore new places.

Roli Gaur Vashisht

Marketing & Advertising

Roli wanted to be a Fashion Designer ever since she could remember. During her college days at NIFT Mumbai, she could be found recording videos on her Nokia with a 5MegaPixel camera. She was already pretty active on Social Media making Orkut and Facebook Posts when she really should have been learning about different types of stitches.

Once she got her degree and found a job as an Assistant Fashion Designer she found herself spending more time on making social media profile and posts for the designer she was working under vs actually doing the work she was hired to. This was 2011, Social Media Manager wasn’t even a word.

She worked for a year and took a sabbatical when she got married, it was during this time professionally she took her baby steps into social media. Gaining quick popularity with her wedding blog Crazy Indian Wedding , Roli realised the power of the internet. Something was still missing for her though, She felt this wasn’t enough creative outlet for her. This is when she stubbled upon youtube.

Roli started her youtube channel, RGV Love in 2014. Being the first Indian Family Vlogger she discussed her life as a mother of 1 and soon as a mother of 2 with her 75k+ (and growing) audience.

Currently, Roli not only continues to run her channel, she is also the Author of the book ‘ The Mystery Of Diwali Ka Dwarpal’ , plus a Social Media Coach and Manager.

Through her recent Social Media Agency Startup she plans to help Mompreneurs build a strong presence online and help them leverage the various social platforms.

Tanvi worked for 11 years’ in the travel industry before she decided to take a sabbatical from her corporate life to spend some time raising her son. She continued to work as a freelancer because travel for her has been her first love until the pandemic happened. It was around this time that she found courage to explore and invest in two big interest areas: Jewellery & Dance.

The independence that comes in being your own boss has excited her always which led her to start her own fashion jewellery brand ‘The Oia Life’. She believes in curating and designing jewellery pieces that are minimalistic yet stylish, something that can be worn every day. A lot of the beads and stones that are used in the jewellery are handpicked, something she is obsessed with and proud of.

She is extremely passionate about dancing given her 8 yrs experience in Jazz and Contemporary dance forms. She is also a certified Dance Movement facilitator and has worked with adults and children in many NGOs such as Blind Relief Association, Delhi and Kilkari Rainbow Home for Girls, Delhi. She usually plans her dance & movement sessions for moms and children on Sundays. She strongly feels, that a little movement added with some dance and music is the perfect recipe to start a week on a good note 😃

Sukhmani Bawa Ahuja

Masalas & Pickles

Hello everyone I'm Sukhmani Bawa Ahuja. Many of you know me for masalas and achars from Best Masala Mix but few know that I am a qualified and trained educationist. If we start from the beginning..I am from a family of educationists and have an army background too. I did my schooling from Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram and my college from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University.

I always had an artistic bent of mind and wanted to do everything that had a creative streak. As my mother was running two pre nursery schools, I always wanted to carry the family business forward. So I did my B.Ed, Masters in Psychology and a specialised course in Early Childhood Education. While the education was done right ...I had to fullfill my creative desires. So, I did everything from designing the wedding favours for Vivek Oberoi's wedding in Bangalore to a Summer Design Programme from Central Saint Martins, London. Floral design had become my forte by the time I was 28. It was only after I got married and was expecting my 1st baby that i put designing on the back burner and continued with education.

Life changed for many of us after the pandemic. I still haven't moved away from Education as its in my blood and that's all I saw my mother do while I was growing up, but am simply enjoying my newest baby Best Masala Mix, that allows me to be flexible with my timings and gives me immense happiness. I do plan to grow the business and NAM has given me the strongest foundation step I could've asked for.

Roohi Malhotra

ARTIST & ART COACH

Roohi comes from a Delhi-based business family where she was raised equal and got to take part in all the roles as much as her brother would get. While she was growing up as a creative and Artistic person, she was representing her school and city at multiple forums as well. But Art wasn’t considered serious work back then and she was expected to join the family business, which she wasn’t keen on. With all the support from her parents, she pursued her education in Fashion Retail and Merchandising from Pearl Academy, Delhi and LDT University, Germany.

She bagged big MNCs like IKEA, EY & Ericsson to her kitty, while she was on her professional journey from 2006 till 2017 (11 years) as a Procurement & Commercial Intelligence Specialist.

During her maternity leave in 2017, she started nurturing her creative skills again. But life couldn’t be easier any longer and took a roller coaster ride in 2018 and she realised that as new parents their child needed more than usual. She quit corporates for good and started working on her son at the age of 15 months. Same time she also lost the lady of the house, her mother (in law), because of whom she was able to seamlessly handle everything.

On the outside she was all cheerful and strong and gathering her family back, but on the inside, the only way for her to be able to get some sanity was, when she was making Art and creating something in silence. With support from her husband & friends who encouraged her to start the Artistic journey professionally, she started selling and since then there’s no turning back.

During the pandemic, she also joined her family business for about 18 months and helped her brother set up the e-commerce platform, which was booming at that time. She performed an outstanding turnover for her brother’s firm with Amazon for 2 financial years.

It’s only because of her relationship skills during the pandemic, that she was selling Art to friends and family. And then, her horizons expanded the moment she moved out to an Art studio space near her son’s school in Delhi and networked to learn and grow, with other fellow artists. But a Special Needs Mom’s priorities never change and she still creates Art at her new studio, near her son’s new school in Gurgaon.

She specialises in one of a kind Big and Small Paintings on Canvas, Mandalas and various bases (Textures with Acrylics / Alcohol Ink / Madhubani). She also hosts Top of the Line Art Sip & Paint workshops for all ages - Corporate, Public & Private events. The end products of these workshops are the best take aways as they are absolutely unique and for the niche. She’s been associated with Artbuzz Studios & DCWA event at Sundar Nursery in the past and looking forward to her solo Art Show someday soon at one of the prestigious galleries in the city.

And she still believes that she has a lot more to learn, grow, discover and reveal, as a person, as a Mom, as a NAMpreneur and as an Artist. The journey has just begun !
